ANNOUNCEMENT PROGRAM COORDINATOR FOR
PARTICIPATORY DESIGN OF MULTIFAMILY HOUSING
For Transitional Trust Service Appointment
Under CDBG-MIT Multisectoral Community Mitigation Program (MSC-MIT) funding
Salary: $3,000 per month plus benefits
August 2023
The Corporación del Proyecto ENLACE del Caño Martín Peña (ENLACE) requests resumes of dynamic and creative people; with leadership, initiative, and high commitment to public service; ability to work in interdisciplinary teams, under pressure and in participatory processes; skills to manage conflicts and availability to work outside regular hours; to occupy the transitory position of trust of Program Coordinator for the Participatory Design of Multifamily Housing.
Tasks and/or responsabilities:
- Design, development, and implementation of a Participatory Design Process for two (2) multifamily housing projects in the Caño Martín Peña Special Planning District.
- Coordination and facilitation of community meetings, workshops and/or activities and other stakeholders, including the development and dissemination of calls.
- Coordination of venue logistics, programming, audio-visual materials, and equipment needed for meetings, workshops and/or activities with community members and other stakeholders.
- Documentation of processes and activities, and follow-up to the development team on the agreements with, or requests of, the
- Coordination and monitoring of the project design and development
- Develop strategic plans to solve public relations problems effectively and
- Mediate in community
- Any other responsibilities and/or tasks related to the position and requirements of the MSC-MIT Program.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or Master’s Degree (MA) in Architecture, Engineering (preferably civil or project management), Project Management (construction area), Planning (preferably Urban), Social Work and/or Social Sciences from an accredited educational institution.
- 2 years of experience in Participatory/Participative
- 2 years of experience in Design, Management and/or Inspection of Projects (particularly housing) or Planning.
Special Requirements:
- Fair Housing Specialist, Projects Inspections, Housing Units, or other type(s) of certification(s) required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), depending on the location of the position (preferred).
- Oral and written command of English and
- Master computer use; Microsoft 365 products, apps, and services (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, ); and programs such as AutoCAD, GIS (optional) and/or Primavera (optional)
- During the applicable period, the incumbent of the position must have passed the examinations, certifications, courses and/or training that are necessary to perform the functions of the position, according to their
- Possess a Driver’s License issued by the Department of Transportation and Public Works, as established in Article 1.54 of Law No. 22 of January 7, 2000, as amended, known as the «Puerto Rico Vehicle and Traffic Law».
